Wonderful small hotel in the center of Merida. Huge and quiet room with good shower and painted sink, as for instance, local drinks in the on-site bar. Nice pool, parking nearby.

When I am in Merida, I like staying here. The hotel is unique with wonderful breakfasts and best staff. The venue has a very central location considerably close to the Merida city centre.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Marionetas. The staff was really helpful: they helped us planning our stay in Merida, gave us good tips on what to see in the city and booked tours for us to Uxmal and Celestun. There's a computer available for use in the lobby. The room was big and nicely decorated.
The only negative point would be that we could hear the other people in the hotel because of poor sound insulation, but overall, the hotel is fairly quiet anyway.

Loved the charming decor and the friendly ambiance. My room felt spacious and beautifully decorated. The staff were polite and very helpful, especially Gabriel. He assisted me in arranging a tour, and his warm service stood out. The location is perfect-just a short walk to Paseo Montejo. Breakfast offered a nice variety including tasty eggs and fresh coffee. The towels could definitely use an upgrade-they looked a bit worn and a few extra would have been nice. The pool water could have been clearer. It had a slightly cloudy appearance , a letdown. Still, the atmosphere is relaxing was good.

This is a charming, colonial bed & breakfast close to the city center yet with the ambiance of being tucked away in a country garden. Except for the night desk clerk who was on duty upon my arrival on Sun 15May11, the staff was friendly, accommodating and professional. I would definitely stay here again!
The night desk clerk was sorely in need of more training in customer contact skills and guest relations. I suspect he was new to the position and simply did not have much experience / confidence in what / how to deal with new arrivals.

The staff was friendly and cute, making me feel right at home .
Unfortunately, the towels in the room were a bit worn and could definitely use an upgrade.
